Welcome to LocalBid, a platform owned and operated by LocalBid Technologies Private Limited ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website (localbid.in) or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Nature of the Platform

LocalBid is an intermediary marketplace that facilitates real-time bidding between independent Buyers and third-party Sellers (local shops and service providers). The Company does not sell products or perform services directly. We provide the technology to match demand with local supply.

LocalBid is a lead-generation platform. All payments for goods/services are to be settled directly between the buyer and seller at the time of pickup/delivery. LocalBid is not responsible for payment disputes.

2. Bidding and Transactions

Bidding Process: When a Buyer submits a request, Sellers may provide competitive quotes ("bids").

No Obligation: A bid is an invitation to treat. A contract is formed only when a Buyer accepts a bid and completes the transaction at the Seller's location.

QR Code Verification: Transactions are confirmed via a secure "Pickup Pass" QR code. Scanning the code constitutes a successful handover and fulfillment of the bid.

3. Seller Obligations & Wallet System

Subscription/Commission: Sellers agree to pay a platform fee (Subscription/Commission) for successful leads. This fee is automatically deducted from the Seller’s digital wallet.

Right to Amend Rates: LocalBid reserves the right to periodically review and adjust the subscription rates, commission percentages, or wallet requirements to adapt to market dynamics and service enhancements. Any such changes will be effective from the date specified in the official notification.

Notification of Changes: Sellers will be notified of any pricing updates at least 7 days in advance via in-app notifications, email, or SMS. Continued use of the platform after the rate change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the new pricing terms.

Wallet Top-up: Sellers must maintain a sufficient balance to respond to leads. Wallet top-ups are processed through authorized payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay).

Refunds: Wallet balances are non-refundable except in cases of technical error or account closure, subject to verification.

4. Liability & Quality of Service

Intermediary Status: The Company is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items or services provided by Sellers.

Disputes: Any disputes regarding product quality or service performance must be resolved directly between the Buyer and the Seller.

5. User Conduct & Safety

AI Moderation: All communications are monitored by our proprietary safety filters. Attempts to bypass the platform or share prohibited content will result in immediate account suspension.

No-Shows: Frequent failure by Buyers to pick up items after bid acceptance may result in "strikes" and eventual platform restriction.

6. Additional general terms & conditions for usage

By using LocalBid, you agree to our additional general terms of service. a. You must provide accurate information. b. You agree to follow local laws and regulations. c. LocalBid is not responsible for transactions between users. d. You agree to use the platform in good faith. e. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
